Kaiju Matsuri Convention Badge 2025
ABOUT
Following the announcement that the convention organizers were retiring from this circuit, this mean their final badge had to be the culmination of their blood, sweat, and tears. Not only does the design highlight the featured guests, but also the Japanese summer feeling behind the name “Matsuri” (festival).
In order to pull in the community that the convention built over the years, I ran a public voting event so everybody could participate. Everybody voted on the different kaijus to be featured in each lantern.
Everything the organizers did to build a culture and safe space for vendors, guests, and attendees, is represented in lanterns. They lit the way for everybody else to pay the kindness forward.
