This poster is created after having the honor of being part of the MTV fanart wall for the actors. This features Louis de Pointe du Lac as the object of contention within the dysfunctional family. He wears the identity of husband, father, and brother. Both Lestat and Claudia use the version of him that they know best against the other. Born of Lestat’s blood, Claudia and him share a mother-daughter bond that makes them undeniably similar, which is why they are both tied in their checkmate.
Claudia’s grasp supports Louis whereas Lestat’s hold is more like a cage, but he can’t seem to get ahold of Louis. This foreshadows how Louis in the end choose Claudia despite his love for Lestat.
